Configure Notification Preferences
Choose which standardized email and SMS notifications are active.
Configure notification preferences when your practice needs to turn standardized event notifications on or off by module and channel.
Who does this: Clinic administrators.
Steps
Open Settings.
Open Patient Access.
Open Notifications.
Select Preferences.
Open Modules to review Intake, Appointments, Pre-visit, Feedback, Treatment plans, and Provider alerts.
Use the Email and SMS switches on each notification row to enable or disable that channel.
Open System to review system-level notification preferences.
Confirm the update toast appears after each switch change.
Common pitfall: Notification copy is standardized and code-owned. These settings control delivery, not message wording.
Troubleshooting
A switch is disabled. That event does not support the selected channel.
Messages are still not being sent. Check Global first. Global Email and SMS switches apply before module preferences.
