Schedule a New Appointment
Book an appointment for a patient from Schedule.
Schedule a new appointment when a patient needs a visit on the calendar.
Who does this: Front desk staff and clinic administrators.
Steps
Open Schedule from the main menu.
Select an open time slot, or select New Appointment.
Choose the Patient and Appointment Type in Patient & Type.
Choose the Visit Mode if the appointment type allows it.
Select Next.
Choose the Patient Timezone, Provider, date, and time in Date & Time.
Select Next, review the details, then select Schedule Appointment.
The appointment appears on the calendar.
Common pitfall: If no times appear, the provider may need availability set first.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find the patient. Add the patient first, then return to Schedule.
The provider has no openings. Check the provider's weekly availability and date overrides.
