Configure Appointment Types
Create appointment types used for scheduling and booking.
Configure appointment types so staff and patients choose the right visit length, mode, and paperwork.
Who does this: Clinic administrators.
Steps
Open Settings.
Open Scheduling, then choose Appointment Types.
Select New appointment type.
Enter the Name, optional Description, and Color.
Set the Default duration and Visit mode.
Turn on Allow self-scheduling if patients can book this visit online.
Review any linked templates or booking questions.
Select Create appointment type.
The appointment type becomes available for scheduling.
Common pitfall: Archived appointment types are hidden from new bookings.
Troubleshooting
The type does not appear in booking. Confirm it is Active and visible to patients.
The save button shows warnings. Review the warning message before choosing whether to continue.
