Manage the Waitlist
Add patients to the waitlist and book them when time opens.
Use the waitlist when a patient wants an earlier or more flexible appointment time.
Who does this: Front desk staff and clinic administrators.
Steps
Open Schedule from the main menu.
Open the Waitlist side panel.
Select Add to Waitlist.
Choose the patient in Add to Waitlist.
Choose a Preferred Provider if the patient wants a specific provider.
Select Add to Waitlist.
The patient appears under Waitlist.
Select the patient from the waitlist and book the appointment when a time opens.
Common pitfall: A provider filter can hide entries. Use All Providers to see the full list.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find the patient. Add the patient record first, then return to the waitlist.
The waitlist looks empty. Check the provider filter and the Waitlist tab.
