Reschedule or Cancel Appointments

Move or cancel an appointment from the schedule.

Reschedule an appointment when a patient needs a new time. Cancel an appointment when the visit should no longer stay on the calendar.

Who does this: Front desk staff and clinic administrators.

Steps

Open Schedule from the main menu.

Select the appointment on the calendar.

Review the Patient, Provider, Date, and Time in Appointment Details.

Select Reschedule to move the appointment.

Choose a new time under Select New Time in Reschedule Appointment.

Choose a Reason for Reschedule, then select Reschedule.

The appointment moves to the new time.

Select Cancel Appointment to cancel instead.

Choose the Reason for cancellation, then select Cancel Appointment.

The appointment is marked canceled.

Common pitfall: If the new time is already taken, choose another available slot.

Troubleshooting

I do not see Reschedule. Check that the appointment is not already completed or canceled.

The cancellation will not save. Choose a cancellation reason before confirming.
