Track Referral Delivery
Understand referral delivery states, retry failures, and complete finished work.
Open Referrals and select a referral to review its current status and delivery details.
Delivery statuses
- Sending: Zscribe is submitting the package.
- Sent: The fax or email provider accepted the package request. This is not final delivery confirmation.
- Delivered: The provider confirmed delivery.
- Delivery failed: The package or transport failed and needs review.
- Completed: Your team marked the referral work finished.
Retry a failed delivery
Open the referral with Delivery failed status.
Read the delivery error and correct the partner destination or package issue.
Select Edit package first to return the failed referral to package review, then make the correction.
Confirm that the reviewed letter and selected attachments are still correct.
Select Retry delivery.
The retry stays on the same referral and is recorded as a separate delivery attempt.
When follow-up work is finished, a user with referral management access can mark an accepted or delivered referral complete.
Do not treat Sent as proof that the receiving clinic got the package. Wait for Delivered or confirm directly when follow-up is time-sensitive.
Troubleshooting
A secure link no longer opens. The link may have expired or been revoked. Review the referral and send a new approved package when appropriate.
Retry delivery is unavailable. Only failed deliveries can be retried. You also need referral send access.
